Characteristics & Properties of Hastelloy X
Hastelloy X plate is a nickel-based high-temperature alloy plate with excellent performance and a wide range of uses. It has high corrosion resistance and can resist a variety of corrosive media such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and is also resistant to oxidizing media such as seawater and most organic acids; it has excellent strength at high temperatures, strong oxidation resistance, and can form a protective oxide film; it also has good processing performance, can be cast, forged, rolled, and is easy to weld. These characteristics make it widely used in aviation, aerospace, chemical, energy, automobile, marine engineering and other fields, such as for the manufacture of aircraft engine parts, gas turbine combustion zone parts, industrial furnace structural parts, chemical equipment, nuclear reactor parts, etc.
Features
High temperature performance: Hastelloy X plate can still maintain excellent strength and oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 2200 degrees Fahrenheit (about 1204℃). At 2150 degrees Fahrenheit (1177℃), its furnace rollers are still in good condition after 8700 hours of operation, which shows that it is also highly reliable for long-term use at high temperatures and is suitable for high-temperature environments such as gas turbines, industrial furnaces, and heat treatment equipment.
Corrosion resistance: The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance and can resist the erosion of oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. It can also maintain good stability in a variety of corrosive media, especially resistant to carburization and nitriding. These characteristics enable it to operate stably for a long time in harsh working environments.
Processing performance: It has good formability and machinability, and can be cold rolled into various tempers, but cannot be hardened by heat treatment. It is easy to manufacture and can meet the needs of different shapes and sizes.
