We stock the following 400 series stainless steels: 410, 430, and 416. We also carry 303, 304, and 316/L precision and bearing quality stainless steel round bars. 321 Stainless Steel Rod packaging
We pay attention to every process to ensure quality. The packaging we usually use for stainless steel rods is to pack the stainless steel round rods in environmentally friendly plastic bags and then put them into fumigation-free wooden boxes or wooden pallets. Customized packaging, such as OEM, can also be negotiated. We provide almost everything to meet your round rod packaging requirements. We attach great importance to packaging. The round rods are packed in wooden corrugated boxes, wrapped with plastic packaging and bubble film on the outside.
Quality, delivery, inspection
- Daxun also conducts several quality assurance tests. These tests include flattening test, pitting and resistance test, mechanical test, hardness test, material positive identification, expansion test, etc. All these tests ensure that the material is suitable for the required application.
- During the production process, we measure the diameter, thickness, and surface of the product. Our standard delivery time is 7-15 days, except for some special size products, our delivery time will increase to 20 days.

Purchase orders for 321 stainless steel bars shall include quantity, PSL grade, type or category, API5L reference, diameter, surface finish, length, and any applicable attachments or additional requirements related to chemical composition, mechanical properties, heat treatment, additional testing, manufacturing process, surface finish, or end treatment. Bars are solution bright annealed.

Precision ground rods (bright finish) are passed through a grinding machine to achieve precise dimensions, resulting in a bright surface.

GENERAL PROPERTIES
- 321 Alloy Stainless Steel Bar (UNS S32100) is a titanium stabilized austenitic stainless steel with good overall corrosion resistance. It has high resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to chromium carbide precipitation temperature range of 800 – 1500°F (427 – 816°C). The alloy can withstand oxidation to 1500°F (816°C) and has better creep and stress rupture properties than 304 and 304L Stainless Steel Bar alloys. It also has good low temperature toughness.
- 321H Alloy (UNS S 32109) is a higher carbon content variation of this alloy (0.04 – 0.10). It is designed to improve creep resistance and strength at temperatures above 1000oF (537°C). The carbon content of the 321 Stainless Steel Rod allows dual certification in most cases.
- 321 Alloy Stainless Steel Bar can only be toughened by cold working, not heat treating. It can be easily welded and machined using conventional shop fabrication techniques.

CORROSION RESISTANCE
- exhibits good general corrosion resistance that is comparable to 304.
- developed for use in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 1800 – 1500°F (427 – 816°C) .
- can be used in most diluted organic acids at moderate temperatures .
- can be used in pure phosphoric acid at lower temperatures.

PROCESSING
Alloy 321/H Stainless Steel Rod can be easily welded and processed by standard shop fabrication practices.
HOT FORMING
- Working temperatures of 2100 – 2300°F (1149 – 1260°C) are recommended for forging, upsetting and other hot working processes.
- Alloy not suitable for work at temperatures below 1700°F (927°C).
- Material must be water quenched or fully annealed after working to re-attain maximum corrosion resistance.
COLD FORMING
- Quite ductile and forms easily.
WELDING
- Readily welded by most standard processes.
- Post weld heat treatment is not necessary
MACHINING
- Hardening rate of 321 Stainless Steel Rod makes it less machinable than 410 stainless steel, but similar to 304
